French hate crime wave

In addition to the European crime wave referred to below by Rocket Man, French Jews are the victims of a hate crime wave, “a kind of intifada,” according to this Washington Post article. In the Paris region alone, there have been 309 reported incidents against Jews, half of which involve violence. Most of the perpetrators are young North African Arabs. The Post adds that hate crime wave isn’t confined to France, it parallels incidents throughout Europe. But the problem is most acute in France due to the large North African population and the government’s tepid response.
