Robert Kagan, in today’s Washington Post, on why Iraq needs more U.S. troops. John McCain made this case in yesterday’s Post. Kagan argues that President Bush is well aware for the need for more forces, hence his efforts to obtain multilateral help. But Kagan argues that Bush will be stymied in these efforts, mostly by the French, and that valuable time is being lost waiting for that sad process to play itself out.
