Hugh Hewitt has more on the efforts of Pennsylvania’s Democratic Governor Ed Rendell to tilt the playing field in his swing state. In addition to doing his best to prevent members of our armed forces from having their absentee ballots counted, about which we reported yesterday, Rendell plans to send a special team of “monitors” into the field on election day. Here’s the link to that story. Apparently, the monitors will be partisan Democrats, and the person in charge will be Philadelphia attorney Mark Aronchick who, until a few weeks ago, was an adviser to the Kerry campaign. He has said that President Bush has “a contemptible pseudo-sincerity” and “a heart of darkness.” Rendell counters that Aronchick is serving for free. Given his hatred of Bush, I’m neither surprised nor comforted.
