The latest from Florida

President Bush is up in Florida by about 300,000 votes with 92 percent of the vote counted. I wish I could remember how this compares to his lead in 2000 when the networks prematurely awarded the state to Bush. There apparently are an enormous number of absentee ballots to count in Florida which, I assume, are not factored into the 92 percent vote count figure.
