Been there, heard that

Dartmouth students are a busy lot, and the attention span of the young probably isn’t what it used to be. Still, it can’t be a good sign that, as the Washington Post puts it, “about thirty minutes into Bill Clinton’s nearly two-hour stop here at Dartmouth College, a steady stream of students started walking out of the venue.” (Eat your hearts out, members of Congress who sat through Clinton’s interminable State of Union addresses).
My daughter tells me that she was not among the young and the restless at Dartmouth. Instead, she stayed put because she “wanted to hear what he had to say.” But that can’t be much consolation for the Clintons, since my daughter will vote today in the Republican primary.
