Arab News –admittedly, not a reliable source–agrees that bin Laden is dead, although with some hedging. Arab News also confirms what conservatives have said about the way Arab militants viewed America during the Clinton administration: “A joke going around the militant Islamist circles until last year was that the only thing the Americans would do if attacked was to sue the attackers in court. That [misconception] no longer exists. The Americans…have shown that they are prepared to use force against their enemies even if that means a long war with no easy victory in sight.” The Arabs are convinced; now someone please tell the Democrats.
