The Star Tribune has an interesting item that depicts an early Dylan performance in his northeastern Minnesota hometown of Hibbing in April 1957. Dylan would have been 15, just about to turn 16. According to one of his bandmates, Dylan performed two Little Richard songs, “Jenny, Jenny, Jenny” and “True Fine Mama” (misspelled in the story as “True Fire Mama”). Incredible. The story is “Guitar from Dylan’s first band donated to Hibbing library.”
