Archaeological Discovery Supports Biblical Account of David and Solomon

This is an appropriate news item for the Passover and Easter season: “Deep in the ruins of a Hebrew town sacked nearly 3,000 years ago by an Egyptian pharaoh, scientists say they have discovered new evidence for the real-life existence of the Bible’s legendary kingdoms of David and Solomon.” It’s an interesting account; the issue relates to whether certain ruins are properly dated in the 9th century B.C. or the 10th century B.C.
I never gave much thought to archaeology before visiting Israel some years ago, but now there are few news stories that I read with more interest.
