Ann takes on the Golden State, noting that as recently as last year the American Prospect magazine hailed California as a “laboratory” for Democratic policies, because “California is the only one of the nation’s 10 largest states that is uniformly under Democratic control.” Consequently, in California “the next New Deal is in tryouts.”
