Ready to wave the white flag

Howard Dean should not be worrying about the Confederate flag. Dean should be worrying about the white flag. That is the flag that Southern Democratic state chairmen are ready to wave in the event that Dean is the party’s presidential nominee.
I certainly hope that won’t deter the party from annointing Dean. While contemplating the possibility of a Dean nomination, we can take pleasure (of the Schadenfreude variety) in the quotes Donald Lambro has assembled in his Washington Times story today: “Dixie Democrats consider Dean ‘too liberal’ to win.”
