Dartmouth College Professor Lewis Glinert applies linguistic analysis to the terminology employed in connection with the war against Israel in a provocative piece for the Jerusalem Post: “The language war.”
I wrote Professor Glinert to ask whether he had published a version of this piece in the United States. Professor Glinert kindly replied: “I haven’t actually published anything on this subject in the US — submitting op-eds in the past to major newspapers (on matters of general political rhetoric) has proven quite frustrating and I’m glad I don’t do that for a living…But I recognize I’ve been too silent far too long concerning Israelophobic discourse, and do intend to write more, both for academia and for the press.”
