Attention: FEC

Our friends at RealClearPolitics have written to point out this interesting article from the Daily Star by William Fisher, a former manager of economic development programs for the State Department in the Middle East: “In the Arab world, a blog can mean prison.” Fisher concludes with a message that has a certain resonance in the United States as well: “It’s far better to increase freedom of speech and reduce the challenge and expense of having to deal with this cyber uproar.”
Our friends at RCP also direct our attention to John Fund’s OpinionJournal column following up on Ryan Sager’s New York Post report of last week: “Astroturf politics.” The Post itself weighs in with a related editorial: “The stench from Pew.”
