Iran Calls For Destruction of Israel; Palestinians Try to Oblige

You may have seen headlines about Mahmoud Ahmadi-Nejad, the President of Iran, calling for Israel to be “wiped off the map”. He also threatened any Muslim countries that established relations with Israel. And it’s worth pointing out that he explicitly linked his threats against Israel to attacks by the Palestinians:

The president told an audience of students there was “no doubt the new wave [of attacks] in Palestine will soon wipe off this disgraceful blot from the face of the Islamic world”.

Ahmadi-Nejad’s comments were delivered at a conference in Tehran called “The World Without Zionism;” the photo below was taken during his speech:

Doesn’t it seem odd that the banner is mostly in English?

In the meantime, a Palestinian murderer did his best to carry out the mission outlined by Ahmadi-Nejad; he killed five Israelis in Hadera, Israel; in the photo below, the sister of the murderer holds a photo of her brother:

Among the Palestinians, sorrow seemed to be confined to the murderer’s immediate family. If there were any Palestinians who sympathized with the murderer’s innocent victims, Reuters didn’t get any pictures. The people below were celebrating in front of the murderer’s house:

This story has a familiar feel to it, somehow. It seems like we’ve covered it before.
