Rudy: Ax the Tax
At the Power Line Candidates' Forum, Rudy Giuliani calls for repeal of the estate tax:
Giuliani, who said he cut taxes 23 times to the tune of $9 billion while mayor of New York City, pointed out the inheritance tax adjusts from 55 percent to 45 percent in 2009, is at zero for one year, then goes back to 55 percent.“You get it,” Giuliani said from a platform in the shop area at Rexco Equipment, a small business in the same hands in Cedar Rapids for more than 40 years. “You gotta die that year. If you don’t, you give more than half of your business to the government.”
