Caught Red-Handed

Someone wants you to think that Fred Thompson is a racist. Someone who set up a site called imwithfred2008.com, just slightly different from Thompson’s official site, imwithfred.com. Only the “2008” site has a header that says “Welcome to the Ku Klux Klan,” with links to racist sites.
Who would do that? The Thompson campaign? A conservative Thompson supporter, showing his true colors? Or a far-left contributor to MoveOn and the Democratic National Committee who’s too dumb to know that owners of domains can be traced?
Ed Morrissey did the research. Way to go, Ed.
UPDATE: Traffic to the imwithfred2008 site is now being redirected to a variety of other sites, including an Edwards for President site and others, including at least one porn site. So I’ve disabled the link.
