During the run-up to the New Hampshire primary in 1992 George H.W. Bush gave us this, speaking to the employees of an insurance conpany:
"You cannot be president of the United States if you don't have faith. Remember Lincoln, going to his knees in times of trial and the Civil War and all that stuff. You can't be. And we are blessed. So don't feel sorry for — don't cry for me, Argentina. Message: I care."Today Evita cries for Argentina:
It won't be easy, you'll think it strangeThe question that Marianne Pernold Young addressed to Ms. Hillary in New Hampshire today is not exactly the question on everyone's mind:
When I try to explain how I feel
That I still need your love after all that I've done.
"My question is very personal, how do you do it?" She mentioned Clinton's hair and appearance always looking perfectly coifed. "How do you, how do you keep upbeat and so wonderful?"Marx to the contrary notwithstanding, history repeats itself, at least in this case, first as farce, second as farce.
