This just in from Denmark: an intruder broke into the home of Kurt Westergaard, the cartoonist who drew the image of Mohammed with a bomb in his turban, and threatened the cartoonist with either a hammer or an axe; accounts vary. Policemen shot and wounded the intruder.
Westergaard was in hiding for a considerable time after receiving multiple death threats from Muslim extremists, but emerged last year and is trying to live a normal life. Apparently his home is equipped with an alarm system that allows him to summon the police quickly, which accounts, presumably, for his survival. Westergaard reportedly was at home with his wife and grandchild when the attack occurred. Danish media have reported that the intruder was a Somalian.
Here is the cartoon that Mr. Westergaard drew. As the years go by, it only seems more apt:

UPDATE: More here. The attacker had an ax and a knife and Westergaard and his five-year-old granddaughter fled to a bathroom which the Somali was trying to break into when police arrived. The Somali is linked to the al Qaeda organization in that country.
