Facebook: A Jihadi Recruiting Ground?

I’ve seen that alleged lately, and it might be true. We learn from the invaluable Atlas Shrugs that someone set up a Facebook page in honor of the dead Stockholm suicide bomber, Taimour Abdulwahab. It is called “R.I.P. Taimour Abdulwahab our brother and friend.” This is a screen grab; click to enlarge:

Disgusting, obviously. Here is the point, however: if you follow the link to the Facebook site and click on “R.I.P. Taimour Abdulwahab our brother and friend + others,” you will see that the page is completely dominated by anti-jihadists, most of them apparently European, some writing in Swedish, who excoriate–to put it mildly–Abdulwahab and his fellow terrorists. If you follow the link, be warned: the posts are frequently profane or worse. Still, it is good to see that the forces of sanity–albeit, for the most part, crude sanity–overwhelm the couple of pro-terrorist Muslims who try to respond. It’s kind of reassuring, really, to see Europeans get angry.
