Protests and Counter-Protests in DC

Anti-war, anti-troop and anti-American protesters turned out in Washington today, led by International ANSWER, a Communist front organization. The turnout doesn’t seem to have been very impressive; news accounts say there were “thousands” of protesters. The yellow and black signs are characteristic of International ANSWER:

The protesters enacted a “die-in,” but they were only pretending:

When you look at the protesters up close, they aren’t very impressive. This guy, courtesy of Victory Caucus, typifies the breed’s yearning for another era:

The news media tend to downplay the actual ideology of the protesters, which is generally anti-American and, to a remarkable degree, Communist:

This photo illustrates the prevailing ideology, left over from the 1960s:

The nice thing was that the anti-war protesters had to walk past rows of pro-Americans:

Remember when a soldier in uniform came to the Yearly Kos carnival and respectfully addressed a panel that included Wesley Clark? He was bitterly denounced by liberals for violating service regulations by wearing his uniform while engaging in political activity. That was different, obviously, from the guy in the photo above.
Lots of these protesters were stark, raving mad. Again, the news media didn’t think you needed to know this:

I assume the woman primping in her mirror is some sort of journalist. This sign, carried by a counter-protester, is one of my favorites:

On the whole, it doesn’t seem to have been a bad day for the forces of good. Victory Caucus has much more.
