A Veteran Puts Kagan to Shame

It is a remarkable fact that President Obama has nominated to the Supreme Court a woman who, as dean of Harvard Law School, discriminated against military recruiters in violation of federal law. Remarkable, but true. Yesterday, our friend Pete Hegseth testified in opposition to Kagan’s confirmation at the invitation of Republican members of the Judiciary Committee. I find it interesting that his perspective–no doubt representative of most Americans–is one that the Democratic members did not think it necessary to consider as part of the confirmation hearing.
