In today’s House Oversight and Accountability Committee hearing, representatives stoked plenty of heat but Secret Service boss Kimberly Cheatle yielded very little light. Rep. Nancy Mace wanted to know how Cheatle’s opening statement got to friendly media before it showed up with the committee. Cheatle had “no idea” how that happened. Cheatle knew how many shell casings were found on the roof where Thomas Matthew Crooks fired, but wouldn’t reveal the number to Rep. Lisa McClain. Cheatle said the Secret Service’s investigation would take 60 days – until nearly October – and she dodged other questions by referring to the FBI investigation.
That is a problem because as James Bovard notes, the FBI now means “following Biden’s instructions.” That doubtless involves withhold evidence, as in the unsolved murders of DNC operative Seth Rich and DNC whistleblower Philip Haney. The oversight committee should hold hearings on those cases and the FBI shooting of Craig Robertson, 75, based on threats to Biden he allegedly made online.
The FBI failed to prevent the terrorist attack of September 11, 2001, Fort Hood in 2009, the Boston Marathon in 2013, San Bernardino in 2015 and Orlando in 2016, each with massive loss of life, and the FBI played no role in the takedown of the shooters and bombers. The committee should ask Christopher Wray if any FBI official or agent was dismissed, disciplined or demoted for those deadly failures.
Cheatle testified that, to date, no Secret Service agents have been disciplined for the security failure in Butler, and at this writing, Kimberly Cheatle is refusing to resign. If this colossal failure is not fired or impeached, that will mark a dangerous escalation for the Biden Junta.
