There was a time this afternoon when more than half of my Instagram feed consisted of video clips of Congressman Brandon Gill questioning witnesses in committee hearings. Gill is the new hero of the conservative movement, largely because of his skill at questioning liberal witnesses. To be honest, it isn’t that hard: Gill’s secret is that, instead of giving speeches as most members of Congress do, he actually asks the witnesses fair questions. And, time after time, it turns out that their ideology prevents them from giving coherent answers.
This is just one example out of many, Gill’s questioning of Michelle Behnke, the current President of the American Bar Association. The ABA, like pretty much every establishment institution, favors race discrimination as long as the correct races are being discriminated for and against. Unfortunately for the ABA, that position is illegal under the 14th Amendment, the Civil Rights Act, and the Harvard and UNC cases. So the ABA, like other liberal groups, is keeping its head down, hoping for a Democratic administration in 2029 and an end to civil rights enforcement.
Meanwhile, organizations like the ABA can’t keep their story straight. That is the background to Congressman Gill’s questioning of Michelle Behnke:
Brandon Gill grew up on a cattle ranch in West Texas. Like Scott and me, he went to Dartmouth College. While at Dartmouth, he was President of the Dartmouth Review, a position once held by Dinesh D’Souza, among other luminaries. He worked in finance for a while after graduation, and then ran for Congress in 2024. In two short years he has become a leader of the conservative movement. Along the way, he married Dinesh D’Souza’s lovely daughter Danielle; they have two children. It is remarkable how far Gill has come, at age 32.
