It is impossible to overstate how much Trump’s win shifted the tectonic plates of American politics. As mentioned previously, his largest vote shifts occurred in the deepest blue states like California and New York. And that’s after so many Republican voters in those states moved away. Let is hope this trend is an augur of a turnaround in some of these spots.
