No Right of Return

Uri Dan, writing in the New York Post, says that President Bush’s reference to Israel as a “vibrant Jewish state” in his Aqaba speech resulted from a request by Ariel Sharon. The phrase, which prompted an angry response by Palestinian leaders, was meant to signify that Bush understands that recognition of a “right of return” would destroy Israel, and will not be a part of the “road map.”
