Kathryn Jean Lopez invited me to write something for NRO occasioned by the Republican National Convention “with a local angle.” If I had known two weeks ago how much free time the delegates and other visitors would have on their hands today, I would have taken the task more seriously in my brief guide to the Twin Cities.
