Bibi’s back

Winston Churchill’s return to the Admiralty in 1939 prompted the signal to go out to the British fleet: “Winston’s back.” Today Benjamin Netanyahu returns to the prime ministership of Israel. While President Obama and much of the rest of the West appear to be sleepwalking toward Iran, Netanyahu views Iran with great urgency as an existential threat to Israel. In his November 2006 interview with Glenn Beck (below), the echoes of Churchill are apparent. He has reiterated the same thoughts on many occasions.

UPDATE: The Atlantic has posted the interview conducted byJeffrey Goldberg with Netanyahu shortly before he was sworn in today as prime minister of Israel. The interview has been posted by the Atlantic as “Netanyahu to Obama: Stop Iran — or I will.”
