Lies of Obamacare: Goldberg edition

President Obama and his Democratic allies, every single man jack of them, retailed Obamacare with a mass of lies. One such lie was the great savings that Obamcacare would achieve for families, some $2500 per family. It was an utterly false and ludicrous statement. In today’s news, we have the Los Angeles Times arriving on the scene: Some health insurance gets pricier as Obamacare rolls out.

Then of course we have the lie about keeping your health plan if you like it. This is what Obama actually said: “If you like your insurance plan you will keep it. No one will be able to take that away from you. It hasn’t happened yet. It won’t happen in the future.”

How many times did Obama make that promise as he traveled hither and yon to sell Obamacare? A lot. It is a lie millions of times over. California is set to contribute some 500,000 witnesses to the lie.

Via NRO, in the video below Jonah Goldberg remarks on the foundational lies of Obamacare. It is a point that cannot be made often enough.

This is my refrain: If only we had a free press, Obamacare would be a bloody, unrelenting scandal, like Abu Ghraib, or Watergate. As it is, it is only business as usual for liberals and liberalism.
