GOP Party Identification Slips

The Gallup poll has come out with a survey showing 28% Republican party identification, compared with 33% Democratic and 38% independent. That’s actually not particularly bad by the standards of recent history; the worse news is that independents are leaning heavily toward the Democrats. I review the data and talk about what it means for 2008 on our AOL page, under the title: “Will 2008 Be Round Two?”
