For the last two years, the Democratic Party has tried to deflect attention from its failed policies by demagoguing “Wall Street greed.” It shouldn’t be a big surprise that from “Wall Street greed” to anti-Semitism is a very small step. Sure enough, the ADL’s annual survey finds a significant increase in anti-Semitism:
The ADL survey found that 15 percent of Americans – nearly 35 million adults – hold deeply anti-Semitic views. That’s up three percent from 2009.
Assuming those numbers are reliable, I don’t know what the change could be attributed to other than the Democrats’ political opportunism. This is the clincher:
19-percent answered “probably true” to the statement “Jews have too much control/influence on Wall Street,” an increase from 14-percent in 2009.
We have seen precisely this anti-Semitism, over and over again, in the Occupy movement, which is itself the spawn of the Democratic Party’s anti-financial industry campaign. No doubt some Jews will vote for Democratic candidates in 2012, but I can’t for the life of me understand why.
UPDATE: In a related story, a Tennessee man named Glendon Swift has been arrested for threatening to kill House Majority Leader Eric Cantor and rape female members of his family. Swift’s voicemail messages included anti-Semitic slurs. As Pamela Geller notes, Cantor has been in the Democrats’ crosshairs and has been a special target of the Occupy Wall Street movement:

We don’t yet know anything about Glendon Swift, but it seems reasonable to assume that his crazed hostility toward Eric Cantor was driven by Democratic Party and left-wing propaganda. Until the Democrats decided to make him a target, Cantor was not a widely-known figure to the general public.
One is tempted to ask the Democrats to tone down their demagoguery, but it would be pointless: given the abject failure of their policies, they have nothing to offer but demonization.
