Live and In Person, Heather Mac Donald and The War On Cops

Heather Mac Donald of the Manhattan Institute is America’s premier expert on the intersection of policing and race. Her book The War On Cops: How the New Attack on Law and Order Makes Everyone Less Safe is the last word on the subject. A week from Thursday, December 8, the think tank that I run, Center of the American Experiment, will host a lunch forum featuring Heather. If you live within driving distance of the Twin Cities, you shouldn’t miss it.

The forum will be at noon at the Hilton Hotel in downtown Minneapolis. We are expecting a crowd of around 500, of whom 150 to 200 will be law enforcement personnel representing a variety of Minnesota agencies. We will honor them symbolically, on behalf of all Minnesota law enforcement. Heather will, of course, speak on the policing issues that are the subject of the book. In addition to recognizing the officers present, a prominent law enforcement official will deliver a brief thank you to Heather Mac Donald, for her courageous service on behalf of the law enforcement community and citizens generally.

It promises to be a great event, and we expect it to sell out. So if you want to come, it would be good to order your tickets now. You can go here to order tickets online through EventBrite. Complete information about the lunch forum is here.

Hope to see you on December 8!
