Understanding Israel’s war

John Spencer is chairman of urban warfare studies at the Modern War Institute at West Point. His profile is posted here. His X feed can be found here. He has been in Israel and Gaza to see what he could learn from the current war. Yesterday he uploaded the video of his February 27 interview with Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu (below). This is an intensely interesting discussion of “everything from the strategic goals of the war, historic comparisons, to the progress of the IDF.” It is worth your time. The give-and-take between Spencer and Netanyahu makes this must viewing.

Caroline Glick draws on her own interview of Spencer to explain the nature of Israel’s war. Her informative JNS column is “Israel’s strategic game of survival.” Glick’s column takes account of Senator Schumer’s “obscene call” for Netanyahu to step down, but that is the least of it. I assess with a high level of confidence that Glick’s column is also worth your time.
