President Biden’s efforts to supply Hamas via a pier constructed by American forces has suffered a temporary interruption. Hamas can’t be too happy about this particular display of military incompetence by the United States. Only last week Daniel Greenfield that “All the Aid From Biden’s Gaza Pier was Seized by Hamas.”
At last word, the pier is scheduled for a timeout — a timeout for repairs after the top of the T-shaped pier separated and drifted into the coast on Tuesday. It’s hard to keep up with the mishaps. I don’t purport to have captured them all here. I am drawing on the latest JNS story on the pier here.
JNS helpfully adds this: “The new setback came after four U.S. army vessels, which are part of the larger Joint Logistics Over-the-Shore operation, ran aground between the Gaza pier and the Israeli city of Ashkelon on Saturday, Sabrina Singh, the deputy Pentagon press secretary, said during a press briefing on Tuesday.” The Biden administration will spare no effort to continue to supply Hamas.
The tweet below provides a handy summary. It reads like a satire of the Biden’s administration ineptitude and stupidity: “A horrible idea executed horribly.” They are profoundly misguided. If they wanted to embarrass the United States, they couldn’t do better, but that is not their object in this case. Media Research Center documents the pitiful coverage of this embarrassment.

Caroline Glick comments via X on Seth Frantzman’s tweet below: “This is hilarious except it isn’t. The Biden administration has paid over $350 million for this pier. It isn’t for ‘humanitarian aid.’ Its purpose is to prevent Israel from exerting military control of Gaza, by preventing it from imposing a maritime blockade of Gaza and forcing IDF soldiers to protect a hostile US deployment to Gaza on behalf of Hamas.”

Day 2 of the US army landing craft LCM 8558 on the beach of Ashdod along with a tug that is often referred to as part of the floating pier but is actually a kind of vessel used to help move the pier.
