They Really Don’t Like Him

The controversies swirling around Tim Walz’s service in the Minnesota National Guard refuse to go away. Walz, and now his defenders, have lied repeatedly about the circumstances of his resignation from the Guard, the rank he allegedly held, and his purported combat experience. Who knows the real story? The other senior NCOs who served with Walz and who had to fill in for him when he abandoned his unit on the eve of deployment to Iraq.

Megyn Kelly had four of those men on her podcast. Her lengthy interview gave them an opportunity to fill in the details that are easily obscured in Democratic Party sound bites. Their account demonstrates that Walz has been lying for years about, among other things, the circumstances under which he abandoned his unit, after having repeatedly promised to accompany his troops to Iraq:

Apart from the details of Walz’s military history, what comes through most strongly is how much these men–the men who worked with Walz for years and who knew him best–detest him. They consider Walz a thoroughly repellent character. We should listen to them.
