The Democratic Party press is horrified that Elon Musk is actually doing what President Trump promised he would on the campaign trail. They can’t figure out where Elon gets his authority. (There is actually a story there: in general terms, of course, it comes from the President. But DOGE is a renamed and largely repurposed version of an agency that already existed, and whose mission was to modernize and coordinate information systems across the federal government.) But that is far beyond the capacities of CNN’s Brianna Keilar, who has absolutely no idea how the Executive Branch works:
Stephen Miller has to whip out the crayons to explain how the federal government and presidential advisers work.

To be fair, though, I doubt that Keilar would exhibit so much confusion if the president and his appointees were Democrats.
