The great thing about Trump is that he simply ignores the conventional wisdom and supposedly fixed boundaries of acceptable discourse on any subject. I’m sure someone told him that proposing to empty out Gaza would be roundly rejected by Arab nations, and be called “ethnic cleansing” here at home. But this is how Trump shakes things up, often with positive results. Everyone knows the “two-state solution” is never going to happen so along as Hamas and Hezbollah are in existence, so why not blow up this whole hypocrisy?
