Tim Walz is a vile, intemperate person who not only lost his election for vice president, but was publicly humiliated. He fared so badly in his one debate that he resorted to calling himself a knucklehead, and in general performed so bizarrely that by the end of the campaign, 60% of the country thought he was gay.
So if you want to be charitable, maybe that embarrassment explains his outburst before a Minnesota nurses’ union group on Tuesday, where he said that the country is being “stolen by fascists and Nazis.”

I don’t suppose he means the election was stolen, so he must mean that the actions the Trump administration have taken have somehow “stolen” the country. But of course, Trump is doing exactly what he campaigned on.
And it is pointless, I suppose, to keep repeating how stupid the “fascist” and “Nazi” slurs are. Trump is the first fascist who wants to reduce the size of government, he hasn’t invaded anyone, he is the best friend the Jews have had in the White House in a long time, and so on. Democrats don’t really mean the things they say; they just blurt them out like Tourette’s sufferers to relieve the pain they are suffering.
Tim Walz is a sad case, but at the same time, he is a good representative of the current state of the Democratic Party.
