“The state was concerned there was ‘significant risk the federal government may take’ Llangari Inga if he is released from jail.”
That remarkable quotation was uttered by a state prosecutor in open court in the case of an illegal Ecuadorian immigrant accused of killing a Minnesota mom in a horror car crash last August.
Even more remarkable, the quotation was recorded by the Minnesota Star Tribune, who has been “encouraged” by our own Scott Johnson to do a better job reporting on this local story of international significance.
He was released from Hennepin County jail at 7:15 pm this evening. According to jail records, he posted bond with conditions. As a practical matter, he (or someone) contributed about $10,000 for his release on three (3) felony charges. He’s already been a fugitive once in this case.
The conditions do not include any home detention or monitoring (ankle bracelet) requirement.
