Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz sends a Christmas message to one and all from his comfy chair,
As of Christmas Day, his post on Twitter (X) has received more than 3 million views. My response has itself received more than 750,000, so far, with the most common of the hundreds of replies expressing sympathy for the dog.
The time stamp on the post reads 9:32 pm on Monday night. Tuesday, Walz held a press conference at a local church in Minneapolis decrying ICE operatings in the state. Local CBS outlet WCCO-4 reports,
Gov. Walz, other leaders decry “targeting” of citizens in federal immigration crackdown.
“Targeting citizens.” He says these things without providing any evidence. I see no indication that WCCO asked him for any. As far as I can tell, at no point in his twenty-year political career, has any member of the local media asked Walz a follow-up question.
Perhaps the governor should go ahead and take the rest of the year off.
