Endorsements

The local chapter of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) has begun announcing their endorsements for the 2026 election cycle. First up was their re-endorsement of state Sen. Omar Mahmood Fateh, representing a district in south Minneapolis.

Sen. Fateh has played a prominent role in the infamous Feeding Our Future fraud scandal, among other irregularities. Of course, none of this has/will matter to voters in south Minneapolis.

Sen. Fateh is featured as a key player in our Anti-Fraud summer tour presentation (coming to a city near you!).

But with the renewed DSA endorsement, what is Sen. Fateh signing up for?

As I’ve pointed out before, the No. 1 agenda item on the DSA platform is to “Decolonize the Settler State of Minnesota.” I know of no other way to interpret this demand other than to remove (deport?) the “settlers” (whoever they are) to outside of the state’s borders.

Presumably their repeat endorsements of Fateh mean that the DSA does not consider the Washington, DC-born senator to be among the ranks of “settlers.”

Item No.2 is “Return land to First Nations.” It’s not clear who qualifies as “first.” Are we talking pre-Columbian? French exploration in the 1600’s?

Minnesota’s landmass was added to the United States in stages, beginning with the Treaty of Paris (1783), then the Louisiana Purchase (1803), and finally concluding with the U.S./U.K. Treaty of 1818. The date picked would result in a different mix of “first” nations.

Regardless, full implementation of Items 1 and 2 (formally, items 1.1 and 1.2) would revert the former Minnesota back to its pristine, pre-industrial condition of a hunter-gatherer society with a total human population of no more than a few hundred thousand.

I suspect that Fateh is most interested in DSA platform item No. 2.3, “Take into public ownership key industries and workplaces.” Under a hunter-gatherer economy, there are no such things as industries or workplaces.

Workers of the world unite!
