Centcom has announced the thirteenth straight night of strikes against Iran: “CENTCOM targeted Iranian military command centers, drone storage facilities, communication networks, coastal surveillance sites, and maritime capabilities to further diminish the threat Iran poses to civilian mariners and commercial vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz.” With the limited set of targets so identified, it sounds the same as it ever was over the past two weeks. However, the Iranian thugs have expanded their operations with a little help from their Houthi friends in Yemen. The Houthis claim to have attacked Saudi oil tankers in the Red Sea. Declaring a maritime blockade of Saudi exports, the Houthis want to do for the Bab el-Mandeb Strait what the Iranians seek to do for the Strait of Hormuz. Oil prices have responded accordingly.
President Trump declared: “Please let this TRUTH serve to represent that if they do this again, the U.S. will hold Iran responsible, in that the Houthis are a Surrogate and/or Proxy of Iran, and major military punishment will be inflicted upon Iran and, of course, the Houthis, themselves, who I am very disappointed with in that they have, until now, acted very professionally and smart.”

Yesterday President Trump told Barak Ravid of Axios that he’s seriously considering restarting major combat operations in Iran — including strikes that would be bigger than the ones carried out during Operation Epic Fury. Trump told Ravid that the Iranians “want to negotiate” but are not ready to make a deal at the moment. “They haven’t received enough pain yet,” he said. Trump’s decision appears to be imminent. Ravid cites unnamed American and Israeli officials who say a return to major combat operations could happen within days.
