If you are a Democrat, this is the ugliest chart that has appeared in a long time. Americans’ confidence in Barack Obama’s competence on the economy, as measured by the Gallup Poll, is dropping through the floor:
This drives most of the other significant poll data we are seeing, such as Scott Rasmussen’s absolutely brutal finding that likely voters think the U.S. is on the wrong track by an 80%-15% margin. The strategists who are planning Obama’s re-election campaign have their work cut out for them.
