America in retreat

Bret Stephens is the Pulitzer Prize-winning foreign affairs columnist and editorial board member of the Wall Street Journal. We interviewed him about America In Retreat: The New Isolationism and the Coming Global Disaster in the Power Line podcast that we posted here.

Bret spoke at the David Horowitz Freedom Center Texas retreat last month, giving a presentation based on his book. Bret argues that Obama’s foreign policy proceeds from a standard-issue leftism that can be traced back to Obama’s days as a college student. As he makes his case, he also makes several worthy recommendations for future reading. As with Stanley Kurtz’s compelling presentation on the Alinsky factor in the cases of Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, this is worth your time.
