Of course, he attempted this appearance before his working hours begin at 10 am, so there’s that.
Serious question: Biden and his team are in panic mode, so he’s skipping his weekend rest periods (and who knows what else) at the beach in Delaware. And if he’s using any stimulants to boost his energy and cognition levels, he is likely to reach the point of diminishing returns quickly.
Look for Biden to take a week-long vacation during the GOP convention next week.
