Scott is all over the Zuckerberg letter about the Facebook boss fessing up to service as a government censor. According to the New York Post, Zuckerberg still has a lot of questions to answer about suppression of the Hunter Biden laptop story. Answers also await to questions Zuckerberg raised during testimony in 2018.
As he confirmed, Facebook was cooperating with the investigation of Donald Trump by Robert Mueller. The former FBI boss interviewed some Facebook employees, but Zuckerberg would not say who they were. “I want to be careful here because our work with the special counsel is confidential,” Zuckerberg explained, “and I want to make sure that in an open session I’m not revealing something that is confidential.”
Sen. Ted Cruz asked if Facebook was a “neutral forum,” which seemed to puzzle the CEO. Sen. Cory Gardner asked if the government had ever demanded that Facebook remove a page from the site. Zuckerberg said “yes, I believe so,” but did not indicate the content of the page, which government official had demanded its removal, and when the removal had taken place.
Add those to the questions Zuckerberg now needs to answer, plus the “confidential” business with Mueller, who found that Trump had not colluded with Russia. For other questions see Zuckerberg’s entire testimony. It’s long past time for the people to get some answers.
