Up Close With Chris Rufo

Many say that Chris Rufo is the most effective conservative activist in America. He is also the author of America’s Cultural Revolution: How the Radical Left Conquered Everything, which traces the Left’s long march through our institutions. A few days ago, I interviewed Chris for an American Experiment podcast.

We talked about his book, which traces contemporary leftism back to the 1960s and Herbert Marcuse, through black activist and murderer Angela Davis, through the Brazilian Paulo Freire, who dominates contemporary social science, to Derrick Bell, my first year law school professor who became the founder of Critical Race Theory.

But that isn’t all. We also talked about Chris’s role in the firing of Claudine Gay, the former President of Harvard; how he worked with Governor Ron DeSantis to transform the failing left-wing New College in Florida; why he thinks J.D. Vance can play an important role in forming a “counter-elite,” and more.

This is the YouTube version of our conversation:

If you like this edition of the American Experiment podcast, you can go to Spotify, Apple, or, best of all, the American Experiment web site for more.

And if you would like to see Chris Rufo in person, he is coming to Minnesota for American Experiment’s Fall Briefing on September 28. You can follow the link for information and tickets. If you live within driving distance of the Twin Cities, I highly recommend it. And if you don’t, the event will take place at a hotel adjacent to the Twin Cities airport, so you can easily fly in and out.
