Joe Thompson was the Assistant United States Attorney who prosecuted the Feeding Our Future cases and who led the investigation of fraud in other Minnesota welfare programs, with regard to which indictments are expected before long. He resigned from the U.S. Attorney’s Office last month and, we now see, has hung out a shingle as a criminal defense lawyer.
His first client? Don Lemon:
Just days after forming his own law firm, former acting U.S. Attorney Joe Thompson has one of his first clients.
Don Lemon.
Remember, Thompson was a top federal prosecutor who recently quit in the middle of ICE ops in MN. His firm's website is so fresh, most of it doesn't load pic.twitter.com/sb74eWGjTR

We all have praised the work Joe did as a prosecutor, so it is hard to see this as a positive career move. Still, it won’t make any difference if the best defense Lemon can come up with is that he is entitled to invade churches because he is a “journalist.”
