Earlier this morning, an anti-ICE activist set off an explosion at the entrance to 26 Federal Plaza in Manhattan. The building houses ICE and the FBI, and illegal immigrants are processed there:
Police say a man armed with a collection of weapons started a fire outside 26 Federal Plaza in Lower Manhattan on Monday morning.
Officials said two people had minor injuries and the incident is being investigated as a possible act of terrorism.
Video showed him pouring some kind of flammable liquid outside the building and then setting it on fire.

Police say the person is believed to be a protester with a history of anti-ICE activity.

The NYPD said it was “looking at the cart the suspect wheeled with him” which they say contained fireworks and airsoft rifles. The suspect’s cart had a sign reading “ICE Off Our Streets.”
The perpetrator also carried a knife and a hammer.
Mayor Mamdani, whose actions have only encouraged such terrorist acts, called the incident “deeply disturbing.”
