We have followed the sad descent of Tucker Carlson into madness. Here, he accuses President Trump and the entire Republican Party (except for Marjorie Taylor Greene and Thomas Massie, now gone from the party) of treason. He wants them subjected to Nuremberg-style show trials. Why? It has something to do with Israel.
As best I can reconstruct it, some tinfoil hat types are saying that the National Defense Authorization Act for FY 2027 provides for a merger of U.S. and Israeli intelligence. That seems to be what Carlson is talking about, as he refers to “merge them formally.” Here it is:

You can read the House version of the NDAA here, if you have a day or two to spare. As I understand it, the provision that Carlson and other anti-Israel activists have seized on is Section 219, titled “UNITED STATES–ISRAEL DEFENSE TECHNOLOGY COOPERATION INITIATIVE.” It authorizes our military to cooperate with Israel in developing defense technologies. This makes perfect sense, as Israel is one of the few countries–perhaps the only one–whose defense technologies are advanced enough to be useful to us. In some cases, I believe they are superior to ours. But of course, neither this section nor any provision of the NDAA provides for a “merger” of the CIA with the Mossad, or whatever. The idea is frankly insane.
JD Vance will have to decide whether he wants to continue to cozy up to a lunatic who wants his boss to be tried for treason. Going full-on anti-Semite may be a viable political strategy in the Democratic Party, but it is not in the Republican Party. So Vance will need to either abandon his disreputable friends, or switch parties.
