We have written many times over the years about the weird alliance between the far left and Islamic extremism. Is it just a marriage of convenience between seemingly antithetical ideologies, or are Communists and Islamists natural allies, since what they really care about is hating Western civilization and human freedom? I think the latter.
This is an instance of the alliance, embodied in a single individual:
The madman who screamed “Allahu Akbar” while stabbing an Asian and Jewish man in separate harrowing hate attacks on the Upper West Side was a fan of Karl Marx, with police finding one of the communist author’s books inside his apartment.
“Allahu Akbar” and Karl Marx. That sums it up nicely.
