Weekend at Biden’s

Who is Sasha Stone and why is she saying these things about Joe Biden? You can look her up online to try to get a handle on her. She is saying these things because she has seen President Biden’s public performances in recent days.

Stone doesn’t invoke Weekend At Bernie’s as a metaphor, as I do in “Dead man walking,” but she assesses his recent recent public performances to arrive at the same destination. She infers his age-related mental decline asymptotically approaching nullity.

Under the subhead “A country without a leader,” she also makes this point that I made separately here:

When a crisis erupted on college campuses, it could have been the day Joe Biden became the president. He could have shown courage and leadership and reassured Jewish students and New Yorkers that antisemitic abuse was not to be tolerated. Instead, his office put out a weak statement, as he was afraid to take a side yet again.

It was then up to Republican Speaker of the House, Mike Johnson, to fill the void.

Whatever you think of Mike Johnson, that he’s a “traitor” or a “snake,” he upstaged Biden by showing us what leadership looks like. It isn’t always about being liked. Sometimes, it’s just about doing the right thing.

Stone then contrasts Biden’s recent public performances with Trump’s, to the former’s disadvantage. Whatever you might say about Trump, he remains in possession of his faculties and is liked by many in a way that Biden can only envy — pause. His team seeks to create the impression that Biden is beloved, but it’s mission impossible in their branch of show business.

Stone has some good words to say about Biden personally in past years. However, he has always been a fool, a bully, and a lying phony. Now he has half a mind to be president. Stone vividly depicts his descent toward nullity and concludes with reasonable advice to Trump.
